Bridge City Needlearts Guild (BCNG) was started in 1996 as a chapter of the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada (EAC) to promote and share our love of the needlearts, specifically those types of needle work done using a needle with an eye. Our members enjoy a variety of types of needlework including cross stitch, hardanger, blackwork, stumpwork, needle painting, canvas work, samplers and more. We share ideas and help each other if we run into difficulties. BCNG is a registered non-profit.
General meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from September to June at Mayfair United Church. In addition, we have stitch-ins on Tuesday afternoons, Thursday evenings throughout the year and an all-day Saturday stitch-in once a month from September to June. We also offer one major workshop each year in the fall and two mini workshops which are held in the winter and spring. Once a year we have a weekend retreat in conjunction with the Regina Stitchery Guild.
Guests are welcome to attend the monthly meetings and may attend up to 3 meetings before they have to join the Guild.
