Winter is prime stitching time, don't you think? It's cold, it's dark early, what better way to spend an evening (or a day) than curled up with a stitching project. Do you start the new year with a new project? Or is one of your New Year's resolutions to finish some UFO's (UnFinished Objects)? If you start to get cabin fever after awhile we have lots of opportunities for you to get out and spend some time with fellow stitchers. Our regular monthly meetings have started again as have our Saturday stitch-ins at Sobey's.

These stitch-ins are open to everyone. Come for the day or as long as you can - even if it's just an hour or two. They're held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Community Room at Sobey's in Stonebridge.

Out and About
We have two events coming up in the next two weeks.
February 4 - Heritage Festival, Western Development Museum 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
We have a display at the WDM Heritage Festival and members will be there to demonstrate various stitching techniques. Stop by to say hello and enter the draw for a needlework kit.
February 12 to March 17 - Mall at Circle and 8th
Our annual display will be up in one of the galleries. We'll be stitching each Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm while the display is up. And each Saturday you can enter your name in the draw for a needlework kit.
Hope you can visit the display and stop by to say hello!
Mini workshops are one-day workshops taught by guild members and take place at a Saturday stitch in held at Mayfair United Church. The mini workshops are usually beginner level and kit costs are kept as low as possible. We have two mini workshops planned:
The first one was on November 25, 2017 and the techniqe was Sashiko Embroidery taught by Rachel Janzen. Photos coming soon.
The second one will be on February 17, 2018 and the technique is Brazillian Embroidery taught by Maggie Sim.
