Autumn Beginnings

The sun is rising later in the morning and setting earlier in the evening; the weather is cooler (we've even had some snowfalls already!); most of the leaves have fallen and there are skeins of Canada geese in the sky getting ready to fly south which means autumn is here. It also means that Bridge City Needlearts Guild General Meetings start again.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at Mayfair United Church, 902 - 33rd Street East. Meetings start at 7:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.

Something new this year

There's a pre-meeting stitch-in for members and guests starting at 6:30 pm. Bring a stitching project to work on - it can be anything you want - and stitch and chat before the meeting begins.

Mini Workshops

Mini workshops are one-day workshops taught by guild members and take place at a Saturday stitch in held at Mayfair United Church. The mini workshops are usually beginner level and kit costs are kept as low as possible. We have two mini workshops planned:

The first one will be on November 17, 2018 to learn how to finish the Quaker balls we stitched as part of the Summer Challenge. It will be taught by Linda Wollms.

The second one will be  on February 16, 2019 and the technique is Beginner Hardanger taught by Ann Harley.

Happy stitching everyone!
