The sun is rising later in the morning and setting earlier in the evening; there is a nip in the air in the mornings; leaves are starting to change. In the stores there are back-to-school and end of summer sales which means autumn is nearly here. With the end of one season comes the beginning of another and the Bridge City Needlearts Guild General Meetings start again.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at Mayfair United Church, 902 - 33rd Street East. Meetings start at 7:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.
Dates for the fall meetings are (please note the date change for the December meeting):

- November 1
- December 13 Potluck and Christmas ornament exchange (6:30 pm)
This year we will be learning to stitch a monogram:
We've chosen our letters and will receive the fabric at the next meeting.
The stitch-ins at Sobey's in Stonebridge will continue through out the fall the dates for these stitch-ins are:
- September 2
- October 7
- November 4
- December 2
Mini workshops are one-day workshops taught by guild members and take place at a Saturday stitch in held at Mayfair United Church. The mini workshops are usually beginner level and kit costs are kept as low as possible. We have two mini workshops planned:
The first one will be on November 25, 2017 and the techniqe is Sashiko Embroidery taught by Rachel Janzen.
The second one will be on February 17, 2018 and the technique is Brazillian Embroidery taught by Maggie Sim.
